Sarah is an internationally recognised social work academic and researcher whose work focuses on grief, ambiguous loss, suicide prevention, and the psychosocial impacts of trauma.
She regularly delivers professional development masterclasses, supporting people to build confidence in working with complex grief and ambiguous loss.
Her new book, Living in the liminal Space, released in June 2026, explores innovation in responding to ambiguous loss of missing people, and the ways in which people in supportive roles can prepare for the emotional impact of the work they do.
Sarah has collaborated with Missed for over a decade; her PhD study into the role of hope for families inspired and guided both The Hope Narratives ® and Ambiguous Loss Masterclass.
