This training package comprises a 50-min video and accompanying slides exploring the theoretical concepts, therapeutic models and practical skills for supporting people living with ambiguous loss (including simulations).

 

It is intended for counsellors (social workers, psychologists, psychotherapists etc.) including those in general counselling services, grief and bereavement services, telephone crisis services and private therapeutic practice, as well as police within specialised Missing Persons Units, search and rescue crisis support teams, and media professionals interested in interviewing families of missing people.

100% of proceeds go towards the charity’s efforts in creating awareness and providing support to families and friends of missing people.

 

The Missed Foundation has made the prerequisite training (Ambiguous Loss 101) free with the goal of educating as many people as possible. (For in-person sessions, Dr Sarah Wayland’s Ambiguous Loss Training two-part course costs $250 per person, per session.)
