Sue Hendy

Sue has worked as an advocate for older people for four decades. Sue is passionate about good governance of not-for-profits, and the role of a board in contributing actively to the outcomes of the organisation.

The range of her involvement has included roles as Corporate Partnerships Manager at YMCA Victoria; CEO of COTA Victoria; Manager Policy & Programs at Sport & Recreation Victoria; advisory positions and committees to state government; founder of Global Alliance on the Rights of Older People Australia; and more recently Sue has taken on the challenge of establishing a social enterprise for older people in Australia.

She also brings expertise in advocacy, fundraising and an extensive network.

Sue also holds the positions of Director, International Federation on Ageing (IFA), and Grants Advisory Panel for Lord Mayors Charitable Foundation.
