When her brother Dan disappeared in 2011, Loren left her job as a communications advisor to create and manage what became the biggest campaign of its kind in the world.
After 18 months of near constant liaison with the media, public and authorities, other families seeking her support prompted Loren to establish The Missed Foundation in 2013.
Her unique position at the intersection of lived experience and professional practice has transformed Loren’s personal adversity into formal expertise, forging vital peer relationships with the over 100 families Missed supports.
Her tireless, innovative and creative work has seen her recognised as a Vodafone World of Difference winner, Women’s Agenda NFP Emerging Leader, AMP Tomorrow Maker, and Victorian Australian of the Year and Young Australian of the Year finalist.
Loren presents at international conferences and has firm connections with business leaders, creatives and philanthropists, as well as Missing Persons experts and organisations globally.
