The Missed Foundation is the only charity in Australia that provides specialised support for families of long-term missing people. These families live with a type of grief called ambiguous loss. It’s considered the most traumatic type of loss and the most unmanageable form of stress, because it’s uncertain and continuous, so there’s no way to move forward. It’s the kind of pain that sits in your chest and swirls in your head every day. Missed stands beside these families, helping them carry that weight so they’re not fighting through it alone.
