Make a bequest: big or small, create a lasting impact for families in need

A legacy gift in your will enables us to deliver enduring support, helping families navigate the uncertainties of life with a missing loved one.

A bequest to The Missed Foundation can be a specific sum, a percentage of your estate, the residue of your estate, or other specific property.

How to make a bequest to The Missed Foundation

We invite you to notify Missed of your bequest in your will. You can do this by:

• Sending a confirmation letter from your solicitor seeking advice from your solicitor or financial adviser when making arrangements for your bequest
• Writing a letter to The Missed Foundation expressing your intention
• Providing us with a copy of the relevant extract from your will
• Sending a confirmation letter from your solicitor

Suggested wording for your will

To bequeath a specific sum:

“I give to The Missed Foundation, Suite 2, Level 12, 80 Collins Street (North Tower), Melbourne, Victoria 3000 (ABN: 56 606 576 914), to support the work of The Missed Foundation in helping families of missing persons. Free of all duties, I give the sum of $XX, for which an authorised receipt from The Missed Foundation will be a sufficient discharge for the executor(s) or trustee.”

To give a percentage of your estate:

“I give to The Missed Foundation, Suite 2, Level 12, 80 Collins Street (North Tower), Melbourne, Victoria 3000 (ABN: 56 606 576 914), to support the work of The Missed Foundation in helping families of missing persons. Free of all duties, I give XX% of my residuary estate, for which an authorised receipt from The Missed Foundation will be a sufficient discharge for the executor(s) or trustee.”

To donate the residue of your estate:

“I give to The Missed Foundation, Suite 2, Level 12, 80 Collins Street (North Tower), Melbourne, Victoria 3000 (ABN: 56 606 576 914), to support the work of The Missed Foundation in helping families of missing persons. Free of all duties, I give the whole residue of my estate, for which an authorised receipt from The Missed Foundation will be a sufficient discharge for the executor(s) or trustee.”
