ABC, 30 April 2018
The Missing Persons Advocacy Network (MPAN) has launched the “Invisible Friends” campaign, using Facebook’s facial recognition technology to locate long-term missing individuals. Users are encouraged to add missing persons’ profiles as friends, allowing Facebook’s auto-tagging feature to scan photos for potential clues. This innovative approach aims to raise awareness and reunite families with their loved ones.
