Fundraising is a tough slog for most charities, so you’ve got to get creative. After the success of our 2020 podcast, What’s Missing (a series that told the unfinished stories of long-term missing Australians), we fortified our relationship with award-winning producers, Casefile Presents.
To show his continued support, for National Missing Persons Week 2022, Casefile’s anonymous host ‘Casey’ donated his time – and his famous voice – to help raise much needed funds for Missed. He recorded 145 personalised voice messages to bring awareness to the fact that 145 Australians were reported missing every day.
His fans cherish their customised messages, everyone involved had fun with it, and over $5000 was raised for Missed to further our initiatives and provide support to those left behind.
Based on our book, Too Short Stories, humanising long term missing Australians by going beyond the details in a poster, What’s Missing was recorded just before in March 2020.
